Manchester United fans are in tears after they were reminded about the club’s attacking trio of the past.
A supporter shared an image of Carlos Tevez, Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo from their double-winning season of 2007/2008 (via Twitter).
The 2008 United side proved to be quite successful as they secured the Premier League and Champions League trophies, including a penalty shoot-out victory over Chelsea in the final (via BBC).
The mood between then and now can’t be more contrasting, with the current United side failing to score more than one goal in their last 10 games in all competitions (via WhoScored). This has culminated in the club winning two of their eight games in the league this season.
Fans began to reminisce over the past glory days after the image of the trio of attackers was shown, taking to Twitter to react.
