Marcus Rashford helped England cruise to a convincing victory over Bulgaria last night, opening the scoring in the 6th-minute with a fantastic strike from the left-hand side of the penalty area.
Is this the worst Manchester United team in the Premier League era?
The Manchester United forward has come under scrutiny from supporters in recent weeks having failed to score in his previous three appearances, but he put in a magnificent performance for the Three Lions in Sofia last night.
Rashford was awarded a match rating of 9.27/10 for his efforts against Bulgaria, after scoring once and acquiring a pass completion rate of 87% (via WhoScored).
United fans will be hopeful that the 21-year-old retains form when league leaders Liverpool come to visit Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Having won only two games in the league all season, United are desperately in need of a win against Jurgen Klopp’s men but know they have a huge challenge on their hands, considering the Reds have won their previous 17 league matches.
Here’s how some United fans reacted to Marcus Rashford’s international goal last night:

I can’t wait till Martial is back so Rashford can go back to the left wing. That’s his best position.

Shining in his best position — like he was prior to Martial’s injury.
How quickly people forget.
