Manchester United: Fans urge club to bring Roy Keane back after Twitter post

Manchester United fans have been left to reminisce about the glory days over the past five years, and few players stick out more than Roy Keane as a player who embodied their passion for the club on the field. He’s been throwing verbal punches on Sky Sports recently, but fans would rather see him back at United.

Aside from the courageous performance against Liverpool two weeks ago, United players have looked a little too lightweight when it comes to getting stuck in. Summer signing Aaron Wan-Bissaka has impressed United fans since his arrival, and his 5.2 tackles per game will have contributed to that. But according to WhoScored, only four other players in the whole squad average two tackles or above per game.

When the club posted a video of Roy Keane winning United the Manchester derby back in 1993, the replies were filled with fans suggesting how much they miss a player like him, and urging the club bring back the legend to sort out the issues Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is facing.
