The Daily Mail have managed to get all our Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern nodding in agreement this evening.
This is because they claim that Gareth Bale is not wanted at the club, especially if it means sacrificing David De Gea in order to convince Real Madrid to part with him.
The publication reported on results of a recent supporters poll that asked 600 Red Devils fans what they thought and the response was overwhelming.
Ninety nine per cent of them would rather keep De Gea at the club if it came down to a choice between him and Bale and we simply have to agree.
Over a pint, our landlord notes that not only would United find it extremely difficult to find a goalkeeper who is better than the Spaniard but it would also make things rather difficult when it came to Angel Di Maria.
The Argentine of course left Real Madrid after Bale was preferred to him and we cannot see a swoop going down well with United’s current number seven.
Manchester United fans. Are you tied in with the 99 per cent that voted to keep De Gea and give up on Bale or do you make up the extra 1 per cent? Let us know your thoughts below.
