Metro have succeeded in bringing Manchester United fans over to the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they weigh in on the Radamel Falcao debate.
The forward is in the middle of a £12 million loan from Ligue 1 side Monaco and as one of our punters notes, you would have a job convincing the majority of United fans that the loan has been a success.
So much so that United boss Louis van Gaal seems to have made his mind up about the forward and a permanent move this summer looks to be as remote as United’s title chances.
Despite that, vice president of Monaco, Vadim Vasilyev, made it very clear that while the forward may not be Louis van Gaal’s cup of tea, he certainly has some fans and there are actually more than a couple of top clubs who would be willing to sign the Columbine.
He claimed: ‘If Manchester United decide not to take up the option at the end of the season, we have interest from other great clubs.
‘So I am not worried for him at all.’
We have to agree that there will be clubs who covet the forward – but at the price Monaco are demanding? We doubt it!
Manchester United fans. Do you think this is true? Would you sign Falcao on a permanent deal or has he proven to be simply not good enough? Let us know your thoughts below.
