Manchester United forward given April deadline to prove fitness

Robin van Persie The Sunday Mirror has Manchester United fans looking up slightly concerned here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that the Red Devils have handed Radamel Falcao a deadline to prove himself.

As our landlord notes, the on loan forward came to the club under a long term injury cloud and little niggles have not exactly helped dispel the image that he is injury prone, with more time spent on the bench than on the field and now it seems that our regulars are willing to support a timescale to show the club and fans he can cut it at the very highest level.

Falcao has been given until April to show that he is worth the money the club have paid for him this season – and would be worth matching the asking price Monaco are demanding to land him permanently.

As one of our regulars notes over a pint, we thought that Falcao might get a chance to start under Louis van Gaal but after an excellent performance from Robin van Persie this weekend, that may not be the case any longer.

Manchester United fans. Are you impressed with what you have seen from Falcao so far or does RVP’s goal put him right back in the dream starting line up and keep Falcao on the bench? Let us know your thoughts below.
