Manchester United free to sign Real Madrid superstar

ronaldo88Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have been dancing on the tables after it was reported that one of their former favourites is free to return to his former employers.

Reports from Spanish outlet Fichajes indicate that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez does not want to offer Cristiano Ronaldo a new deal and is willing to let him leave; which go hand-in-hand with suggestions the Spanish giants want to sign Chelsea’s Eden Hazard next summer.

United have long been linked with bringing Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, where he starred before moving to Spain in 2007, and it’s looking increasing likely that he will be on the move at the end of the current season.

Spanish football expert Guillem Balague stated last week that this will be Ronaldo’s last year in Madrid, though he believes French giants Paris Saint-Germain are favourites for the Portuguese superstar’s signature.

Whichever side is successful in luring Ronaldo away from the Spanish giants must pay a hefty price though, as it’s stated Real Madrid want a whopping £74m for his signature.

United fans, would you pay £74m to bring Ronaldo back to Old Trafford? Let us know below in the comments!
