Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are given teasing news as the Daily Express reveal that they can sign Wolfsburg Kevin De Bruyne for £30m but they will have to wait for another season.
The manager of the German outfit, Dieter Hecking, is desperate to keep hold of his man after he revitalised his career, after De Bruyne struggled at Chelsea.
Since returning back to the Bundesliga after previous loan spells, he has become one of the best attacking midfielders in Europe.
And now he is on Louis van Gaal’s radar, who is looking to give him another opportunity in the Premier League.
But despite the Red Devils’ passion to land the 23-year-old, Hecking has warned them they must wait another year.
He said: “I think he would benefit from another year in the Bundesliga. That’s what I would want.
“Kevin feels good, he’s enjoying a good season and it is clear that he is in very, very good hands with us.
“I don’t see him going anywhere in the summer.”
