Manchester United given huge transfer boost as Belotti’s team-mate advises forward on future

Manchester United are making a much documented pursuit of Torino forward Andrea Belotti, with the Torino man thought to be seriously impressing Reds boss Jose Mourinho this season.

The forward has been in red-hot form for the Serie A outfit this season, prompting plenty of speculation that United might activate his £84million release clause in order to bring him to England.

And their chase has been given a real boost this weekend after Belotti’s team-mate at Torino Adam Ljajic said he wouldn’t begrudge his friend if he did make the move away, delighting the lines of United punters drinking here in the Tavern.

As reported by the Daily star, Ljajic said: “I’ve played with many strikers but Belotti is much more determined than any other striker I’ve ever played with. We are a strong team with him, I don’t know what would happen without. Let’s see.

“If some club offer him €6m or €7m a year I think he should not even think about it,” he said.

The move gives even more backing to United’s push for the talented forward, who is heavily expected to move onto bigger and better things this summer.

And our United-mad barman here at the pub thinks Belotti would make a cracking addition to the squad, especially considering Ibrahimovic’s injury that could see him ruled out for months.
