Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern have been given huge encouragement after talkSPORT revealed that Barcelona’s new contract is the lowest on the table for their ageing defender Dani Alves.
This is a huge boost for the Red Devils, who have been linked with the Brazilian since the beginning of the season.
Alves is out of contract at the end of the season and he is expected to leave the Nou Camp after being at the Spanish giants since 2008.
The experienced right back looks almost certain to depart the Catalan giants but Barca have now offered him a chance to stay at the club.
But this recent offer is too low and Alves does not wish to extend his contract.
The 31-year-old’s agent, Dinorah Santana, who is also his ex-wife, firmly believes he can get a better deal elsewhere.
She said: “Dani wants to stay, but Barcelona’s offer is the lowest of the offers we got.”
United fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern admit they would love to sign the Brazilian in the summer, and feel he would add a much needed element of experience!
