Manchester United hierarchy monitoring Argentinean boss

pochettinooThe Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hopeful that current boss Louis van Gaal will be replaced in the summer, following a disappointing 2015/16 campaign.

The Red Devils are set to finish miles away from the whoever wins the Premier League title and also face a real battle to secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

Our landlord has spotted some news in The Sun, which claims that United might turn to Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino ahead of next season, with Ed Woodward said to be monitoring the situation.

The Argentinean boss has guided Spurs towards a title charge and at present they sit just five points behind leaders Leicester City, with eight games left to play.

It has looked for a while as though ex-Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho was nailed on for the position, although it now seems that the United hierarchy are considering other options.

One Spurs fan has nearly chocked on his pint after hearing this news and he thinks that Pochettino would be crazy to join United, stating that Spurs are in a much better place on all fronts as a club at present.

Manchester United fans, does Mourinho or Pochettino get your vote? What would each of them bring to the table?
