Here at the Football Transfer Tavern we love a good transfer rumour and Mail Online are reporting that Manchester United are lining up a surprise move for Colombian international midfielder Juan Fernando Quintero.
The 20-year-old Pescara man has impressed watching United scouts in the last few months and he was the star of the recent South American Under-20 Championship where he took his country to the title with five goals.
He has attracted interest from other European sides including Inter Milan and Juventus but United appear to be leading the chase and Ferguson could be ready to move when the transfer window opens in the next few months.
The playmaker already has experience of playing in Europe after spending the last few months on loan at Pescera in Italy from parent club Atletico Nacional and as United are thought to be keen to add a dynamic midfielder to their side this summer he could make the ideal solution at a cheap price.
Could United be about to capture another of football’s finest young talents? Rate this rumour below.
