David Moyes is normally the laughing stock of the Football Transfer Tavern, but today he is the subject of a fair bit of transfer gossip courtesy of Metro.
The publication seem to think the Manchester United manager is keen on a 20-year-old Bundesliga star.
Moyes is of course having a rather difficult start to life at Old Trafford, and there are a fair few punters here in the tavern who would rather see the manager not in charge at all come the end of the season – and do not want him to be making any decisions over transfers.
For now however the hapless Scot remains in charge and is targeting young Freiburg star Matthias Ginter this summer.
Moyes is looking to shore up his squad and bring in some young stars – and ones who vitally want to play for him.
One of our punters notes that Moyes may well struggle to attract world class players this summer – especially when and not if the club miss out on the top four – and targeting young and up coming players could be the way forward.
There will also be several first team departures at the club and Moyes could well need some new faces come the summer!
Is Matthias Ginter a name that could soon be much more associated with Manchester United? Let us know your thoughts below.
