Manchester United keeper is ready to play amid Real Madrid interest

Victor Valdes David De GeaThe Daily Mail are the talk of the Football Transfer Tavern as they seem to think that David De Gea has claimed he is fit and ready to play for Manchester United.

This revelation comes on the back of the player being heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid, left out of the Manchester United squad for their opening game of the season by Louis van Gaal in favour of Sergio Romero and finally being told by the manager that United want to keep him.

As one of our punters here in the Transfer Tavern notes, that would be enough to make anyone consider their future and maybe lose focus, so we don’t exactly blame De Gea for not looking his best during pre-season, although if he now thinks he is ready and able to play, that is exactly what he should be able to do.

A group of Red Devils fans enjoying a beer and burger special at the bar feel that De Gea wants to leave the club, and admit they would never want to keep hold of a player who didn’t want to be at Manchester United!

Manchester United fans. What does this mean? Would United play the keeper in the Champions League and cup tie him? Do you rate Sergio Romero? Let us know your thoughts below!
