Manchester United fans fill the Football Transfer Tavern in good spirits after talkSPORT revealed that the Red Devils are leading the chase for Monaco’s highly-rated defender Layvin Kurzawa.
Kurzawa is a 22-year-old left back who has impressed on several occasions for the Ligue 1 club which has led to him being handed his international debut for France recently.
He has bags of potential but again is a relatively inexperienced defender but punters believe he would be a great signing as he has shown great maturity at such a young age.
His impressive performances have attracted attention from several clubs but it is thought that Louis van Gaal is at the front of the queue.
The now senior French international said: “The club of my dreams? Manchester United. It is one of my goals to play there one day.”
And with United’s defensive needs it looks as though the he may be granted his dream move as van Gaal prepares a January swoop for Kurzawa.
However, some United fans are hesitant given the £30 million they forked out for Luke Shaw in the summer. They claim the England international is good enough to make the left back spot his own and would rather van Gaal spent big on landing a centre back instead.
Manchester United fans. Do you think you should sign Kurzawa or would a move be pointless as you already have Luke Shaw? Let us know your thoughts below.
