Since the departure of Alex Ferguson as manager, fans and pundits alike have heaped praise on the man and his highly successful reign on a daily basis – for many lads in the pub he never put a foot wrong.
However, one issue a few punters here in the Tavern have with the latter years of Fergie’s tenure in particular, is the lack of player time given to and subsequent departure of Paul Pogba to Juventus.
Not only has this been rued by the Red Devils because the French midfielder maestro has gone on to be such a success in Turin for Italian giants, Juventus, but the fact that for many years during Ferguson’s reign and most definitely over the last few seasons, the Old Trafford outfit have lacked a midfield enforcer.
Today these thoughts are being echoed by former captain and fan favourite, Rio Ferdinand. The Manchester Evening News
are reporting that the defender has publicly claimed Alex Ferguson was WRONG to let the 22 year-old go!
