Manchester United line up Dutchman as third summer signing

Daryl JanmaatManchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are keeping tabs on everything that Louis van Gaal does for the Netherlands.

That’s because they are excited about what their new manager can bring to their club.

He’s already brought Southampton’s Luke Shaw and Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera to the club and according to the Daily Mail, one of van Gaal’s Dutch international squad could be next.

Apparently the Manchester club have enquired about Feyenoord right back Daryl Janmaat who only has a year left on his contract at De Kuip.

Janmaat has been on the wishlist of Napoli, Tottenham and Arsenal in recent weeks.

The 24-year old has already confirmed that he will be leaving the Rotterdam side this summer; it just remains to be seen where he ends up.

Louis van Gaal also has his eyes on Arsenal centre back Thomas Vermaelen but the two clubs are struggling to agree a fee.
