It has become an interesting day for Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern and the Daily Star has made it even more intriguing.
The publication has claimed that the Red Devils have lined up a possible alternative to Luke Shaw this summer, just in case their number one target decides not to make the summer switch from Southampton.
David Moyes and his scouts have lined up Layvin Kurzawa as their second choice, with the star currently plying his trade for Monaco.
The left back is only 21-years-old and has already attracted interest from the likes of Bayern Munich as he continues to excel in Ligue 1 under Claudio Ranieri.
As one of our punters notes, when teams like Bayern Munich are showing interest in you, why on earth would Manchester United and David Moyes be able to rival that given how their form has been this term?
In terms of landing number one target Shaw, we think United are leading the race and given how well Cesar Azpilicueta has played for Chelsea at left back, why would they want to spend £30 million on Shaw?
Will Manchester United land Shaw this summer or will they have to move for an alternative? What is your gut feeling? Let us know your thoughts below.
