Talk about a good debate and you need not look further than the Football Transfer Tavern after we heard from The Sun that Manchester United could be set to use Javier Hernandez as a bargaining chip to land Cristiano Ronaldo.
The striker is on the radar of Real Madrid this summer and regardless of who is in charge at the club, Florentino Perez is keen on making a bid for the Mexican striker. Now it seems that Sir Alex Ferguson has been made aware of this and is considering using Little Pea as bait for the transfer that would stun the football world – a return for Cristiano Ronaldo.
Real Madrid are understandably more than a little reluctant to sell Ronaldo but the player is refusing to sign a new deal despite his current one ending in 2015 and given the uncertainty surrounding the manager at the club next season that is not a shock. It is no secret that Ronaldo still loves United and would consider a move back to the club and now it seems that Hernandez will be used as part exchange along with a substantial wedge of cash to boot.
Will Hernandez forge part of any deal to lure Ronaldo back to Old Trafford? Rate this rumour below.
