Manchester United looking to swoop for another La Liga star

van gaal1It looks as if Manchester United are looking to prepare for the imminent departure of ex-Atletico keeper David De Gea by moving in for a swoop at his old club, and United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are unsure what to make of this news.

Jan Oblak, who made 22 appearances between the sticks for the Spanish giants last term, and is now a player that Louis Van Gaal fancies signing, to ease the pain of De Gea’s return to La Liga.

The Express are reporting that the Red Devils have already lodged a £20 million enquiry and now more recently £25 million bid for the Slovenian International, which have both been rejected.

Atletico are apparently keen to keep hold of all squad players in this window and see Jan Oblak as a potential no.1 choice in goal for the coming season.

However, with Louis Van Gaal’s ruthless track record in the transfer market it would be a big surprise if there isn’t at least one more bid to try and tempt the keeper away from the Spanish capital and move to Manchester!

What do you think United Fans? Do you reckon Jan Oblak is a good player for you? Will he move? Let us know below!
