There are some interesting reports making their way into the Football Transfer Tavern this evening as the Daily Star suggest that Barcelona forward Pedro could quit the Spanish giants this summer after an explosive bust-up at the club.
This has reportedly put Manchester City and Manchester United on red alert for the Spanish winger as they both look to strengthen their squad next season.
Pedro has apparently fallen out with manager Gerardo Martino over his lack of first team football as the boss prefers Neymar or Alexis Sanchez in the attacking wide role.
His agent Francois Gallardo has now confirmed as much, saying: “Pedro is very angry this season. The player is in a difficult situation and may be sold, although that could be a bad move for Pedro.”
Here in the tavern, we think that City will stand a better chance of landing the talented winger with Champions League on offer at the Etihad Stadium, unlike the situation at Old Trafford.
There is also likely to be interest from elsewhere in the 26-year-old with former Barca boss Pep Guardiola considering a reunion at the Allianz Arena.
Can you see Pedro heading to the Premier League in the near future? Let us know your thoughts below.
