Manchester United midfielder Michael Carrick has admitted that he doesn’t yet know what the future holds for him, as the last few months on his contract run down.
The ex-West Ham United player is out of contract in the summer and with no talks forthcoming at present, the veteran midfielder could look to move elsewhere.
This news has been spotted in the Sunday Mirror by our landlord and the report claims that several clubs in both England and China are monitoring the contract situation surrounding Carrick.
The 34-year-old has played close to 300 games for Manchester United and the lack of contract talks show little respect for a player who has given several years of professional service to the club.
One United fan is sat in the smoking area in the Tavern and he thinks that the lack of respect the club has shown towards one of their model professionals is somewhat concerning, although he does concede that Carrick’s best days are behind him and perhaps the club are right to offload.
Manchester United fans, would you keep Carrick at Old Trafford, or offload him?
