Metro have Manchester United fans interested here in the Football Transfer Tavern after they claimed that Sevilla are asking for more than United have offered for one of their star men.
The La Liga side are resigned to French starlet Geoffrey Kondogbia making a move to the Premier League this summer but are holding out for what they think is a reasonable price for the player and have told United and David Moyes in no uncertain terms that they need to buck up their ideas if they want to land the midfielder.
The player has been a long-term target of United and even before Moyes made the move to Old Trafford, rumours over the player being in a tug of war with United and Arsenal were rife.
Now Andalucian side Sevilla are claiming that United need to up their bid of £7 million to £8.5 million The La Liga club noted that:
“We have rejected an offer for Kondogbia – the bid was not sufficient.
“Our idea is that he continues growing at Sevilla, just like he did last year.
“But there is a release clause that says if we have a written offer of £8.5 million, we must accept it and he can go.”
