That’s after the Daily Star reported that Manchester United have been told to increase their offer for Netherlands international and Feyenoord defender Daryl Janmaat.
The 24-year old has just one year left on his contract at De Kuip and it is thought that Feyenoord want £7 million – £3 million more than Manchester United have reportedly offered.
Janmaat has been impressive so far this World Cup and he has become one of a few Dutch players linked with the Red Devils due to Louis van Gaal’s impending Old Trafford arrival.
It is thought that the right back will definitely be leaving Feyenoord this summer but Manchester United will need to act fast to secure his services.
Newcastle United are also keeping an eye on the situation as they look for a replacement for Arsenal-bound Mathieu Debuchy.
Manchester United fans. £7 million for an international defender does not seem that expensive, all things considered. But is he good enough? Let us know your thoughts below.
