Manchester United offered world class talent for £60M, club mulling over summer move

james rodriguezjames rodriguezThe Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are hoping that their club will be under new management when the 2016/17 campaign gets underway, with several of the die-hards in the bar increasingly frustrated at Louis van Gaal’s managerial style.

The club have been heavily linked with a move for Jose Mourinho over recent months and it remains to be seen whether or not he will be placed in charge at the club.

Whoever is manager of the club next season, the Red Devils are expected to welcome several new additions to Old Trafford in the summer, with another glut of signings likely to arrive at the club.

Our landlord has spotted some news in the Daily Star on Sunday, who are claiming that United have been offered Real Madrid forward James Rodriguez for a whopping £60 million.

Rodriguez is expected to be part of a summer cull at the Spanish giants, which has alerted several Premier League clubs towards his availability, with the Red Devils one of them.

One Manchester United fan is waiting for the darts knockout to begin here in the Tavern and he thinks that Rodriguez would be a world class signing for Manchester United, although he does question whether the signing would be realistic with the club not in the Champions League next season.

Manchester United fans, would you welcome Rodriguez to the club? Where would you like to see him play?
