The Daily Star have stunned the majority of our punters here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they have claimed that Manchester United are looking to make 11 changes before the transfer window closes.
As one of our punters notes, Louis van Gaal is certainly leaving it late with only a day to go and it seems that not only will there be a few more new faces arriving to help bolster his underperforming side but there will be plenty of outgoings as well.
AC Milan’s Nigel de Jong is expected to make the switch to Old Trafford in a £10 million move with Daley Blind coming from Ajax in a move costing nearly £16 million.
Not only that but there will be departures for Tom Cleverley, Javier Hernandez, Anderson and Marouane Fellaini if van Gaal has his way.
The Dutchman spoke about the transfer window and his last minute plans and claimed: “Blind is coming for his medical, so maybe we will have a new player.
“I also believe that by the time we play next Marcos Rojo will have his work permit.
“Departures? It is up to the players involved.
“I always say this because it is their decision.”
