Manchester United player looking set for exit door, club keen on move

RomeroOur resident Manchester United fans here inside the Football Transfer Tavern are looking at the news from Goal with interest, with the publication suggesting that Man United goalkeeper Sergio Romero could be set to depart the club, with River Plate keen on a deal.

The 28-year-old has found it hard to break into the first-team during his time at Old Trafford, and has more often than not been overshadowed by a certain David De Gea.

Our landlord here in the Tavern feels that when called up Romero is a more than able back-up, and hasn’t done too much wrong in a Manchester United shirt, but understands that the Argentine goalkeeper will want to be playing first-team football at his age.

A handful of United punters over by the pool table here in the Tavern have been getting excited about the potential prospect of Mourinho in charge at United, and this news has brought them all back down to earth, with them all agreeing it probably is best that Romero is moved on, as he won’t be getting in the first-team anytime soon!

United fans….. Do you agree with the punters here in the Tavern? Is it time he left? Let us know your thoughts and opinions below!
