Manchester United plot £27m raid to secure third signing

CuadradoManchester United fans seem to be in a pretty good mood here in the Football Transfer Tavern after Metro‘s latest claim is aired.

The publication has claimed that the Red Devils are set to table a bid for Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado who was one of the stars of the World Cup.

The Colombian international winger is attracting interest from a host of clubs with Barcelona also keen on making a swoop for the winger.

One of our punters notes over a pint that both clubs are amongst the biggest in the world and we would not hold out much hope for the Viola when it comes to keeping hold of their attacking prized asset.

Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is keen to get a squad together that he thinks can challenge for titles next season and will pay big money for Cuadrado.

A £27.7 million bid is being rumoured as the starting point and we are pretty sure that will rise when Barcelona get involved too!

Manchester United fans. Is the Colombian winger worth getting in a transfer battle over or should your money be spent in other areas? Let us know your thoughts below.
