Manchester United fans in the Transfer Tavern have begun accustomed to being linked with the best and brightest in the world, though their genuinely intrigued by the latest rumours of a major defensive deal.
Louis Van Gaal’s issues with Marcos Rojo, who signed in 2014, have been well documented and the Manchester Evening News now state the Dutchman will give-up on the young South American and wants to replace him with compatriot Bruno Martins Indi.
The Porto defender is well known to Van Gaal due to his time managing the Dutch national side, where Martins Indi impressed at the 2014 World Cup, and the paper suggests he is the perfect replacement for Rojo as he can play in the centre or on the left-side.
Rojo, meanwhile, as emerged as a target for Andre Villas-Boas Zenit St Petersburg and United are ready to listen to offers.
