Manchester United plotting £30m move for Spain under-21 star

The Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are excitedly discussing the prospect of signing one of Europe’s top young talents.

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Manchester United want midfielder Carlos Soler to join the club in the next transfer window.

Soler is highly regarded by Valencia and has broken into the first team in the last year and a half.

The Spain under-21 international has impressed scouts with his performances and now Jose Mourinho wants to prise him away from the La Liga club and bring him to Old Trafford.

Valencia are desperate to keep their prize youngster and have inserted a £75m buy-out clause into his contract in a bid to fend off potential suitors.

However, after running into some financial difficulties, Valencia might be forced into selling Carlos Soler for as little as £30m with Manchester United unlikely to be put off by that price tag.

The 20-year-old is being lined up to feature in a midfield three including Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic, which Mourinho hopes will be successful for many years.

Ander Herrera has been linked with a move away from Man United and Marouane Fellaini’s future remains in doubt despite an improvement in performances this season.
