The article states that the United hierarchy have already prepared a £70 million bid for Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ready for a summer pursuit.
The Gabonese 26-year-old has netted an impressive 20 league goals this season, and has attracted the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs including Arsenal and Real Madrid, which could throw a spanner in the works of a United bid given the other suitors’ Champions League chances for next season.
One United fan here in the Transfer Tavern thinks that £70 million is a lot of money, but does concede that it is a risk worth taking, given the club’s habit of not scoring enough goals during this season.
