Manchester United fans are rushing over to the bar here in the Football Transfer Tavern, as the Daily Mirror have a sensational claim.
The publication seem to think that David Moyes is willing to offer winger Nani along with a rather large chunk of cash in order to land Uruguayan international forward Edinson Cavani.
The former Palermo and Napoli forward has struggled personally at Paris Saint-Germain this season, and is unhappy at being shoved out on the wing playing second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic who has nailed down Cavani’s favoured central attacker’s role.
As one of our punters notes, even with Ibra out injured and Cavani in the middle, he has not looked comfortable and we think it is classic ‘let me leave’ tactics from the forward.
Our landlord makes the point that it will not just be Manchester United who will come in for the forward should he be up for sale in the summer, but also Chelsea, who are desperate to bring in at least two world class forwards in order to realistically challenge for all four trophies next term.
The loss of Nani does not exactly seem to bother the regulars in the tavern who are United fans; in fact some of them even think it would be a good thing!
Would PSG even be interested in receiving Nani as part of a deal for Cavani? Let us know your thoughts below.
