Yet again the Red Devils in this pub are screaming and shouting and causing a real ruckus as they have had a fair few pints and of course have started discussing the possible return of their beloved ex-player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Not many days pass in the Transfer Tavern without him being linked back to his old hunting ground, and many Man United supporting punters think something could be in the pipeline over the next 12 months.
And today the plot has thickened and developments have occurred according to the Metro, who believe that Manchester United officials are prepared to match the Real Madrid man’s wage demands, and pay him a staggering £15 million a year should he sign a contract back in England.
After leaving for a fee of £80 million in 2009, it looks like Van Gaal would have to pay that amount and some more to see him get his man.
Our resident Manchester United fans all admit they would absolutely love to see Ronaldo back at Old Trafford, but all of them admit they are dreaming, and cannot see the winger joining Van Gaal’s side anytime soon!
