BonucciManchester United manager Jose Mourinho is keen to add Italy defender Leonardo Bonucci to his Red Devils squad for next season and will rival Chelsea for his signature.

This news has alerted the Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern and many feel it would be a clever move by the Red Devils, with Bonucci currently part of the Italy squad which has yet to concede a goal at Euro 2016.

Whether United could prise the player away from Italian champions Juventus remains to be seen, although the chance to play under Mourinho could be an attractive option for the solid defender.

One Manchester United fan is getting stuck into one of the landlord’s real ales and he thinks the central defender would be a class act for United, stating that he hopes a deal can be put in place this summer.

Manchester United fans, would you welcome Bonucci? Would he work well in tandem with Chris Smalling?
