Manchester United fans are eagerly looking towards the Sunday Express as they claim that the Red Devils have found a solution to their defensive crisis – but will have to wait until January to see it come off.
The club have reportedly identified Aston Villa capatain Ron Vlaar as the man to solve their issues at the back.
As our regulars note over a couple of chilled pints at the bar, the former Feyenoord defender knows manager Louis van Gaal well and after both enjoyed a very fruitful World Cup together, the defender saw his stock rise immeasurably.
Not only do United have an issue concerning their sheer injury and suspension issues at the back; they also have a lack of top quality defenders anyway.
We certainly think that they could do with a player who not only has experience in the Premier League but one that knows exactly what their manager will ask for.
The 29-year-old would be available for around £4 million and that is an utter steal considering the alternatives!
Manchester United fans. Will van Gaal be able to get the best out of his compatriot like he did in Brazil? Let us know your thoughts below.
