Celtic fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been dealt a hugely positive piece of news this weekend as it’s thought Celtic defender Kieran Tierney would prefer a move to Old Trafford over Tottenham this summer.
According to the Manchester Evening News, the 19-year-old defender would rather make the move to Manchester United than a transfer to White Hart Lane, with both sides thought to be interested in making a move for the highly-rated defender.
Our barman here in the pub, who is a die-hard Bhoys supporter has begun to give up hope on his side keeping ahold of the Isle of Man-born defender, who looks to go on and have a seriously bright future in football after impressing for Celtic this season.
But with United thought to be very keen on bringing him to the Premier League this summer, this could spell further misery for outcast-defender Luke Shaw, who has been publicly slammed by manager Jose Mourinho this campaign.
Tierney is contracted to Parkhead until 2021 but Red Devils fans here in the Tavern are confident a move can be brokered which could see Tierney move to the club over the summer months.
