West Ham United starlet Reece Oxford is being monitored by Manchester United who sent scouts to watch the highly-rated teenager during the Hammers’ U21s Cup Final win over Hull City on Monday, according to The Sun.
The news has made the Red Devils supporters present here in the Transfer Tavern stand up and take note, with many backing Oxford to be a real hit for the club should he put pen-to-paper.
The 17-year-old is in high demand from several of the Premier League’s big hitters with Manchester City and Arsenal also keeping tabs on the player.
It is thought that bids in the region of £10 million will be placed to West Ham in the summer, although it could take considerably more to tempt the club into a sale.
One United fan is sat waiting for the Saturday night poker tournament to start here in the Tavern and he thinks Oxford would be a great signing for the club, stating that he hopes a deal can be concluded.
Manchester United fans, would you welcome Oxford? How much should the club be prepared to pay?
