Manchester United set to lose out in transfer battle

lewandowski.jpgFootball Transfer Tavern’s favourite new striker Robert Lewandowski is set to reject a move to Manchester United in order to join Bayern Munich this summer according to The Sun.

The Polish hitman has sparked a sensational transfer battle with United pulling out all the stops to bring him to the Premier League but the Dortmund forward looks set to stay in Germany.

Bayern are getting their transfer business done early this summer, overseen by new boss Pep Guardiola, as Lewandowski’s current team-mate Mario Gotze is already signed up at the Allianz Arena next season.

United wanted to partner the Polish international with Robin van Persie, allowing Wayne Rooney to play in a deeper role putting fear into the chasing pack next season.

The £25 million rated striker is set to be offered over £150,000-a-week at Bayern and will add to their already quality front line that currently boasts Mario Mandzukic and Mario Gomez.

Is Lewandowski going to follow Gotze to Champions League finalists Bayern Munich? Rate this rumour below.
