Manchester United fans are putting down their pints, diverting their attention away from the big screen and turning to our landlord, who has the latest news from Metro.
Red Devils ouutcast Wilfried Zaha has been given permission to leave Old Trafford this January on loan as he searches for a club who can actually provide him with first team football.
Now it seems that Cardiff City are the ones who have managed to land him.
The Welsh club have already seen dividends from appointing former Manchester United star Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the manager beating off a host of clubs to land the coveted Zaha for the rest of the season.
Our punters make the point however that Zaha has not come for free and Cardiff will have to pay a loan fee of around £1.5 million for the ex-Crystal Palace winger. That means that United will at least be making some money whilst the player hones his craft elsewhere.
Moyes actually led his side to a home win in the league this weekend against Swansea City and after a summit with Sir Alex Ferguson, is hopefully getting the club back on track – well according to our United fans in the tavern anyway!
There could well be a few other players set to leave the club as well, with Anderson, Nani and also the defensive trio of Patrice Evra, Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand also on the edge at the club.
Will Zaha flourish at Cardiff? Let us know your thoughts below.
