Manchester United are trying their absolute best to keep up with rivals Man City at the top of the Premier League table, with Jose Mourinho and his squad doing their best to keep on the tails of their bitter rivals.
United though have gone about their business in a decent enough way, and look set to keep up their challenge throughout the season with the squad boasting plenty of quality from back to front to maintain a sustained challenge.
However, here in the Tavern, our landlord and the United punters feel the club could do with signing a few more world class talents, and one player who has sprung to mind during the international break is French star Thomas Lemar, who came close to signing for Arsenal in the summer.
The midfielder is well on his way to becoming a world class midfielder, and at just 22-years-old, he has plenty of time to develop himself further and become a dominating presence in the Premier League for years to come.
Working alongside a top quality manager like Jose Mourinho will only be a good thing for Lemar, and the chance to link up with international teammate Paul Pogba could be a hugely enticing prospect for the Monaco midfielder if he wishes to move to England.
Lemar will no doubt cost a big sum, but that’s not going to be a problem for United who have money to burn. Lemar could well be the difference between United winning the league and not if Mourinho can complete his signing during the January window.
Red Devils, what do you make of Lemar? Good addition? Let us know in the comments!
