Manchester United continued their dominant form under manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with a 2-1 win over Brighton at Old Trafford this weekend.

A goal once again from Marcus Rashford and a penalty from Paul Pogba were enough to see off the Seagulls and hand the Red Devils their seventh successive win under their new management team.

Things are not completely solved at Old Trafford though, and there is still a big case to be made that the club need to go out and sign a new defender to solve what has been quite the ongoing crisis at centre half in the last 12 months or so.

And one man we here in the Tavern feel would be a superb addition is Inter Milan defender Milan Skiniar, who has developed in the last year or so to become one of the top central defensive players in Europe.

Valued at some £60m by Transfermarkt, the Slovakian powerhouse is everything you need in a central defender. Quick across the ground, strong as an ox, and not frightened to put his body on the line, the 23-year-old would represent a superb capture for United.

Skiniar is currently learning his craft over in Italy, which normally bodes well for defenders given the Italian's history with defensive minded players.

If United are serious about solving their problems and moving on to be a dominant force once again, then the signing of someone like Skriniar could be the ideal move.
