Manchester United's season has picked up somewhat following a miserable start, and although a goal down to rivals City at the time of writing, there is plenty to be positive about for the Red Devils.

Manager Jose Mourinho will be hoping for some success this term regardless of where that success lies, but to do so, there is a strong feeling that the club will need to add some fresh faces to the squad in the January transfer window.

That's why we at the Tavern have been racking our brains about who the club could look to sign, and one player who has sprung to mind is Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves, who has once again been superb for the Molineux side now they are back in the top flight.

Neves, although still being a young player, plays with a maturity well beyond his years, and he is surely destined to get a move to one of the world's biggest and best clubs at some stage in his career.

United are crying out for someone in the middle of the park who can dominate, as well as someone who can go on to improve further, all things which Neves ticks.

Wolves will no doubt be in no rush to sell the midfielder if they can help it, but it can be hard to resist and turn down when a club like United come knocking, and Neves himself would no doubt it hard to turn down a move to Old Trafford.

United fans, what do you think? Would Neves be a good signing? Let us know in the comments!
