The Daily Mail have a rather interesting claim for us here in the Football Transfer Tavern, as they note that Cardiff City could well be closing in on a deal for Wilfried Zaha after all.
The player had been chasing a loan move away from Old Trafford, where he has been struggling for game time and did not even make the reserve side in their most recent game.
But we had thought that David Moyes looked set to block that deal due to the injuries and departures at the club.
Now however, after a turn around in events – or as our landlord noted over pouring a pint, a probably kick off from the winger and his advisors, Zaha could well be on his way to South Wales after all.
The attacking player would be a huge coup for the club to land on loan, and our regulars take a minute to note that there has never been any doubt over the quality of Zaha, just the chances he would get at Old Trafford under David Moyes, who is clearly not a fan of the player.
For Zaha himself, the chance to actually play games is a must and the player is prepared to do whatever it takes in order to achieve that.
Why do you think Zaha hasn’t been offered a fair crack of the whip at Old Trafford? Let us know your thoughts below.
