Manchester United star critical of his side despite Europa League win earlier this week

And one star that certainly isn’t hiding away from any criticism is winger Jesse Lingard, who knows that the team haven’t performed to their highest level this campaign.

“Individually, we could have done better and as a team we could have done better, but football is all about learning and you’re always going to learn with every game,” he told ManUtd.com.

“We’ll take this experience into next season,” he added.

Lingard signed a bumper new contract earlier this campaign and he’ll certainly be part of proceedings next time around. But over the summer, there’s plenty of work to do to improve the current ranks, especially considering the huge injury suffered by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
