Numerous punters are taking advantage of the ‘Happy Hour’ that is currently taking place in the Football Transfer Tavern as they celebrate the end of another working week.
Now thoughts have turned to the future of a Premier League veteran with Metro reporting that Manchester United left back Patrice Evra could join team-mate Nemanja Vidic in making the summer transfer to Inter Milan.
The 32-year-old French international has played a major role in David Moyes’ side this season but the former Everton boss is thought to want a younger option with Southampton’s Luke Shaw in his sights.
This could see Evra departing on a free transfer come the end of the campaign with Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio apparently beginning talks about a move to the San Siro along with Vidic.
It was announced earlier this year that the Serbian, who is also available on a free transfer, will move to Italy and now it seems that his defensive team-mate could join him.
Before Wednesday’s Champions League victory over Olympiakos, Evra refused to talk about his own future stating: “It is not a good day to talk about my future. The future of Manchester United is more important.”
He featured in the 3-0 victory that ensures a place in today’s Champions League draw although he will miss the first leg of the last eight match after collecting another booking in the game.
