Manchester United fans are moving over to the bar with interest after our regulars note that BBC Sport carry some rather worrying quotes from Louis van Gaal.
The Red Devils manager was asked about the growing concerns over Colombian international Radamel Falcao and his fitness and certainly did not pull any punches when voicing his opinion.
After van Gaal claimed he was only able to use the forward for ‘twenty minutes’ a fixture, further doubt has been cast over his long-term future at the club.
Our regulars have gone out of their way to remind us that Falcao is only on loan from Monaco and would cost a huge amount of money to bring to Old Trafford permanently.
With each passing week, it seems more of an ill-advised idea for the Red Devils to turn Falcao’s stay into a permanent one.
van Gaal further elaborated over the forward’s condition and claimed: “It would be a better contribution if he played with the second team, but I cannot do that because on Tuesday we had the match against Stoke and Wayne Rooney was injured.”
Manchester United fans. Where do you stand on the Falcao issue? Have you been disappointed with his poor fitness since his arrival? Should you have swooped for an alternative forward? Let us know your thoughts below.
