Manchester United star wants to see Zlatan arrive at Old Trafford as speculation increases

ZlatanOur resident Manchester United fans here inside the Transfer Tavern have been in a jubilant mood all week, after their 1-0 victory over bitter rivals Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on the weekend.

And the news filtering in from Sky Sports has attracted their interest, with United’s midfield star Juan Mata admitting he would like to play alongside Paris Saint Germain star Edinson Cavani.

Talk in the Tavern of late has been about the future of Zlatan and where his next career move will be, with speculation increasing that United are one of an array of clubs keen on a move for Sweden international.

The Red Devils fans over by the pool table all admit they would love to see the talismanic striker at Old Trafford one day, and think he would help aid them to win the Premier League trophy next season!

Speaking to Sky Sports, United’s Spanish midfielder Juan Mata said:

“I don’t know what he is going to do, whether he is going to stay there or not,”

“Maybe he will try a new chapter in his long career.

“He is probably the best in Sweden’s history for what he represents. He has played in so many countries and leagues and won trophies everywhere. That speaks about his quality as a player and his importance for PSG and in the national team where he is a captain.

“He is a very good player and I like to play with very good players. Every player would be happy to play with him.”

Our landlord feels it would be a sensational coup for the Red Devils if they managed to lure Zlatan to Manchester in the summer, with the whol Tavern agreeing that he still has a couple of good seasons in him at the age of 34!
