Manchester United fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are shocked as Spain’s most recent club looking to spend big money are Valencia as the Express reveal they are contenders to sign Radamel Falcao at the end of the season.
Which once seemed a dream move, seems like the wrong choice for the Columbian superstar and maybe a move back to La Liga is the right choice.
To add to the strikers tough situation, Wayne Rooney responded to Louis van Gaal’s cry for a potent striker, with a brace in their 2-0 win over Stoke, in a game where Falcao made very little impact, once again.
But punters in the Tavern would like to point out that there are a lot factors which make it harder for him to impress at United.
Firstly he is constantly being compared to his £285,000-a-week wages, which adds extra pressure, secondly he has not been fit for most of this season, which means he missed pre-season and has had to regain match fitness in his first few games.
Also in van Gaal’s system, it is hard for any striker to excel as the Red Devils continue to play lacklustre football.
So maybe a move out of Old Trafford is the right choice, with Valencia recently getting taken over, Asian businessman Peter Lim is set for a spending spree, to allow them to compete at the top of the table.
Manchester United fans. Do you think it is fair to let him go as he has not impressed on his loan spell or should he be kept on? Let us know your thoughts below.
