Manchester United striker set to join Tottenham Hotspur?

Javier Hernandez Fans of Tottenham are gathered round the pool table with a few regular punters today, discussing the potential arrival of Javier Hernandez at White Hart Lane.

The Mexico international who has featured in two World Cups, spent last season on loan at Real Madrid and now The Sun are reporting that Spurs are ready to test the water at Manchester United, with an £8 million bid for the front-man. Coming towards the best years of his career there might not have ever been a better time to tempt him to the capital.

The 27-year old has always had an eye for goal at Old Trafford, despite a lack of first team opportunities.

Some of the bar staff in here today have been quick to point out that with the misfiring Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado, Pochettino desperately needs to find a striker to compliment the prolific Harry Kane. In typical fashion, our landlord waded in on the debate:

“Javier has always been a quality player, imagine how good he would be if he got 30 games under his belt in one season!”.

Tottenham fans what do you make of this? Could the Mexican flourish at the Lane? United Fans would you be sad to see him go? Let us know what you think below!
