Manchester United striker situation takes another twist as player looks set to stay

James WilsonManchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are listening closely, as Wolves boss Kenny Jackett today finally ended speculation of the United youngster’s future as he has told the media that James Wilson is set to stay at Manchester United, as reported by BBC Sport.

The highly-rated youngster has been interesting Championship clubs after Man United’s £36 million capture of 19-year-old French striker Anthony Martial.

Wilson was in and out of United’s side last season scoring three goals in 14 appearances leading to his want for regular playing time, and our Championship fans here in the Transfer Tavern think he’d be a fantastic acquisition for any team outside the Premier League.

However, to their disappointment United’s goal scoring woes with misfiring striker Wayne Rooney’s poor start to the season and United’s lack of strikers after the sales of Robin Van Persie and Chicharito has therefore meant United are now reluctant to let him leave.

Jackett went on to state that they have been interested in his services for a while and still remain alert at his availability, nonetheless he concedes they’re hopes of wrapping up a loan deal for him is now very unlikely!
